Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Lead Cashier to join our team. The Lead Cashier will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations at the front of the house, delivering excellent customer service, and managing cash handling processes. Must be able to work nights and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the cash register and front-of-house staff.
Provide outstanding customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Accurately process cash and credit transactions while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
Train and mentor new cashiers on register operations, customer service standards, and restaurant policies.
Collaborate with management to streamline processes and improve customer experience.
Maintain a clean and organized front area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
Support team members during peak hours to ensure efficient service.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification is a plus.
Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role, preferably in a fast-casual or restaurant setting.
Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficient with cash register systems and point-of-sale (POS) software.
Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings and weekends.
