For a new independent boutique hotel that just opened in downtown Evanston.
Qualifications
At least 2-3 years of experience working as a front desk supervisor in a hotel.
4 year college degree
Essential Duties
Oversees front desk operations.
Provides guest service, guidance and leadership to ensure consistent customer service is provided.
Assigns and instructs team members in details of work.
Monitors lobby traffic to make staffing adjustments accordingly.
Trains, supervises, schedules and assists in evaluating staff.
Greets guests and completes check-in and check-out procedures in the PMS system on a daily basis.
Works directly with the housekeeping supervisor and facilities manager in order to insure rooms are available as needed
Attends and sometimes leads daily pre-shift meetings with team members.
Maintains good customer relations by answering questions and taking care of customer concerns in a timely and knowledgeable manner, in person and on the phone.
Operates the telephone equipment by accepting incoming calls, assisting in-house calls to get to the correct department in a timely manner, scheduling and setting wake up calls to provide guests with timely and efficient service.
Serves as Manager on Duty when no executive commit member is on property.

Continuous standing about 80-90% of shift.
Ability to spend extended lengths of time viewing a computer screen.
