We’re seeking an experienced and passionate General Manager to lead our specialty coffee shop and program within this unique, multi-functional space. Position Overview
As the General Manager, you’ll take on a key role in creating and launching a specialty coffee shop that will be an integral part of this new destination. From designing a one-of-a-kind coffee and beverage menu to overseeing a talented team of baristas, you’ll help bring our vision to life and create a warm, inviting community space for coffee lovers and locals alike.
Key Responsibilities
Coffee Program Development: Curate an exceptional coffee and beverage program featuring espresso-based drinks, specialty brews, and creative non-alcoholic options that will set us apart in the local scene.
Menu: Work closely with the leadership team and chef to carefully select food menu items that include light, fresh, and delicious options, including pastries, breakfast items that will pair well with our coffee.
Staff Hiring & Training: Recruit, train, and lead a team of skilled baristas and support staff. Provide ongoing training to ensure consistency, quality, and a memorable guest experience.
Operational Oversight: Manage daily coffee shop operations, integrating with the restaurant and grocer. Responsibilities include scheduling, inventory management, and upholding quality standards to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Customer Experience: Foster a warm, welcoming environment that invites the community to gather, unwind, and enjoy. Prioritize customer service to build strong relationships with our guests.
Financial Management: Manage budgets, control costs, and implement strategies to drive profitability while maintaining high standards and an inviting experience.
Marketing & Community Engagement: Partner with our marketing team to build buzz, drive traffic, and establish strong community ties through events, partnerships, and social media.
Qualifications
Experience: 2-4 years of management experience in a specialty coffee shop or similar environment.
Coffee Knowledge: Deep understanding of coffee, espresso, and brewing techniques, with a passion for developing unique and seasonal offerings.
Leadership Skills: Strong background in team management, training, and creating a supportive, enthusiastic work culture.
Customer-Focused: Committed to delivering an exceptional guest experience and creating a vibrant, community-centric space.
Business Acumen: Skilled in budget management, cost control, and sales strategy to ensure profitability and sustainable growth.
Creative Vision: A love for coffee culture and a desire to develop standout drinks and menu items that attract and retain guests.
