Fun, high volume sports/neighborhood bar with an incredibly established clientele is looking for a Floor Manager, Assistant GM. Someone outgoing and friendly that likes interacting with guests, sets a good environment; understands the subtle important elements of the bar and restaurant business. The candidate should enjoy hosting a good party every time they come in. The candidate will need to manage a staff of bartenders, servers, cooks, food runners and security.
Night and weekend shifts required. We are looking for someone who truly enjoys working with people and enjoys the hospitality industry and building great relationships with guests.
Responsibilities, Duties, and Other Must Haves
· Must be available for nights, weekends, and holidays.
· Flexibility and willingness to cross train is a must.
· Must learn and quickly adapt to existing management systems and protocols.
· Ability to execute high standards in food and beverage quality.
· Passion for integrity of food, beverage, and service.
· Firm understanding of the steps of service, including aesthetics, table touch, and expediency.
· Provide proper oversight to ensure that all patrons leave satisfied and their needs are met.
· Need to be able to maintain a fun environment and set a good atmosphere while maintaining a professional attitude.
· Exceptional people skills - loves being the host of the party.
· Create and maintain a positive atmosphere for coworkers, employees, and patrons.
· Foster trust and cooperation among coworkers, employees, and patrons
· Ability to handle all situations with tact, courtesy, and professionalism.
· High tolerance for stressful and demanding circumstances, especially during high-volume hours.
Qualifications
· Minimum experience of 2 years.
· Basic knowledge of Microsoft office and excel.
· Knowledge of health department rules and regulations and a firm grasp of sanitation requirements to maintain a clean work environment that meets sanitation standards.
· Must be a team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
· Must be able to handle extremely high-volume pace.
· Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
· Interact well with different types of people.
· Organized with excellent communication skills.
· Strong bartender or server experience a plus.
