Fast paced high volume American Italian restaurant (more details given upon interview set-up) on the near northwest side is in search of an experienced full-service restaurant floor manager or assistant general manager. This is a full time position at an independently owned and operated eatery with a very active, fun and vibrant bar/bar scene. The restaurant has spanned over several decades and has seen continued growth throughout and is considered a staple in the community.
Duties include regular day-to-day operations, facility review (repair and maintenance lists), scheduling, liquor, beer and wine ordering, smallwares (disposables, plastics, bar goods, etc) ordering. Other responsibilities include staff management, coaching and training, and documentation when necessary. Working with the Chef and kitchen regarding specials, 86'd items, and food focuses, as well as daily pre-shift meetings.
High level of attention to detail, self-starter motivation, and competent production desired.
The restaurant is open nightly for dinner and for some lunches. No breakfast or brunches! Some catering or restaurant events may change schedules.
Closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas eve and Christmas, and New Year's Day.
The restaurant offers a great quality of life with a set schedule yet flexible for special events or requests. Small management team that works with each other on many projects throughout the business and ability to impact the business with ideas and ways to do things better. This is not a corporate restaurant.
