Global Operations supports markets to ensure they have operational solutions and consulting resources that solve the needs of today, while looking ahead to our future. This position sits within the Global Operations team working out of the Chicago West Loop headquarters and reports into the Director, Global Operations Strategy and Standards. A successful candidate will serve as an internal consultant to corporate functional teams as well as Operations stakeholders across global markets and segments focused on continuous improvement and innovation efforts.Business questions or topics supported could include: kitchen operations/production optimization, assessment of new menu or technology product, technology innovation, equipment, operations procedures, restaurant staffing/positioning guides, new restaurant concepts and design, restaurant capacity/efficiency planning, and operational impact of shifting trends in consumer behavior.The role will work cross functionally with teams representing, but not limited to, Global Operations, Real Estate Design and Development, Digital Product, Menu, IT, Strategy, Digital, & Market Operations and Analytics.Position PurposeProvide direct consulting support to global market Operations leaders and headquarter functional partners to frame business challenges and opportunities, identify methodologies to virtually prototype and test potential solutions, and provide guidance for solution development, testing and implementationAnalyze and evaluate existing operational systems and processes to find opportunities for enhanced efficiency, increased capacity, and more consistent performance.Optimize process design and existing simulation processes, procedures, and tools to ensure speed to insight, quality of results, and scalability of servicesThe ideal candidate will be:Committed to deeply understanding the details of current restaurant operationsKnowledgeable and skilled in System Design, Continuous Improvement, Project Management, Operations, Process Design, Modeling and Simulation, Insights & AnalyticsSkilled at understanding and analyzing complex processesSkilled at telling stories with quantitative data to audiences at all levelsEqually comfortable leading external vendors to execute projects and rolling up his/her sleeves to manage data and performance analyticsSelf-starter who is confident working under tight timelines & competing demandsPrincipal AccountabilitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gain insight and define the direction and methodologies to address business challengesBuild, maintain and productionalize discrete event simulation models to support the global Restaurant Solutions Group, functional partners, and global markets.Serve as process design lead for cross functional innovation projects and global market-facing consulting engagementsUtilize process mapping and principles of mathematics, science, and engineering to understand and quantify processesIdentify opportunities to improve throughput, capacity, and customer experience and prevent waste and inefficiencyProvide insights and tools to support Global Operations continuous improvement effortsSupport the development of valid and reliable innovation lab tests and in-restaurant testsBuild and maintain the global service/production process documentation (e.g., process flows, time and motion studies, engineered standards, etc)Champion data driven Operations decision making and support the development of process design and simulation skills with market partners Benefits eligible: Yes

The expected salary range for this role is $112,860 - $143,900 per year
