Join us in our mission to enhance data quality, streamline processes, and foster innovation.Role Overview :The Director of Analytics Operations will lead the development and execution of our analytics strategy, ensuring the seamless integration of data systems and analytics processes across the sales & marketing organization. This role will be pivotal in bridging the gap between Data Engineering and Reporting teams, managing critical data assets, and driving the transition to a more efficient and unified analytics infrastructure. The focus will be on managing day-to-day systems and operations while contributing to the strategic direction of the team.Key Technologies in our Stack:Databricks, DBT, Bitbucket, AWS CodeConnect, Anomalo, JIRA, Alation, TableauKey Responsibilities :Leadership and Thought Leadership:
Provide strategic direction and thought leadership in analytics operations.
Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation across Sales, Marketing, and Data Engineering teams.
System Integration and Management:
Oversee the ongoing integration and performance of Databricks, Bitbucket, AWS CodeConnect, Anomalo, dbt, and Tableau.
Ensure seamless data flow and system interoperability.
Data Engineering Leadership:
Lead internal and cross-team data engineering efforts.
Lead initiative to transition from batch-loaded extract processes to cached live connections for Tableau.
Enhance data accessibility, reduce latency, and improve cost-efficiency.
Process Development:
Develop and document operational processes, including agile concepts, analytics transformation, and data operations processes.
Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline data workflows.
Data Observability and Monitoring:
Implement and monitor data observability practices to ensure data reliability and quality.
Track and report on key performance metrics, including user engagement, data quality, and operational efficiency.
Data Governance:
Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements.
Maintain comprehensive documentation and manage new systems.
Internal Reporting:
Report on the strategic direction and performance of the analytics engineering team.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Team Management:
Manage senior analysts & engineers responsible for detailed data work.
Provide guidance and support to ensure efficient and accurate data processing.
Promote professional development and continuous learning within the team.
Requirements:
A college degree is nice to have but not required, what’s more important is having the skills to do the job. Other forms of acceptable experience include:
8 - 10 years’ experience within data operations, data governance, analytics, data and/or analytics engineering.
Excellent SQL skills.
Effective Python skills.
Strong knowledge of data management, governance, and quality assurance practices.
Expertise, or equivalent, in tools such as Databricks, Bitbucket, Anomalo, dbt, and Tableau.
Experience with data architecture design, including DAGs and Data Vaults.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
Excellent presentation skills.
Strategic thinker with a track record of driving innovation and efficiency in data operations.
Strong understanding of enterprise sales and marketing analytics.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in transitioning from legacy systems to modern data platforms.
Familiarity with building and maintaining semantic layers.
Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions.
