We are seeking a highly motivated individual to be a Product Technical Manager within the Global Data & Analytics team.  The Data Product Technical Manager would lead and own the data product within the Global Data & Analytics team, from engineering/technology owner standpoint. This role is responsible for prioritizing the technical product backlog, balancing new features, functional requirements, non-functional requirements and requests across teams and coordinating deployments with other Product Owners in the Data & Analytics team. The Data Product Technical Manager requires the experience or proven aptitude to develop detailed domain knowledge of multiple products. The Data Product Technical Manager oversees the work of development squads as the lead technology business representative and decision-maker, working in tandem with the product team.In this role, you will own responsibility for delivering data initiatives across our data product landscape, to globally improve and progress McDonalds to a world class data product organization. Partner with business customers and stakeholders to define and deliver the associated technical data product solutions using a mix of internal and external (vendor) resources and products and ensure successful integration with existing McDonald’s systems.Responsibilities1. Understand the data ingest, transform, load, table structures -both inbound and outboundUnderstand the technical components of your products and be able to identify key stakeholders  Recognize product performance from an end-user standpoint including data quality, responsiveness, reliability, etc.Be able to engage in a conversation on all facets of your products, and require others’ input only to go particularly deepDevelop the data product’s target technical roadmap and key technology decisions to deliver the roadmap.b. Mastery of the technology involved in your product Be able to engage in discussions regarding whether your product is using the right solutions, and always looking forward to continuously evolve and improveBe able to understand the issues involved in major decisions and provide feedback on architecture, even in areas you are not an expert inCollaborate with Data & Solution Architects to launch scalable and reliable data solutions, support system integration efforts, and create operational efficiencies through automation and process improvementsManage technical interdependencies and interfaces of their product with other systems and productsEstablish best practices for identifying, analyzing and managing technical risks.Responsible for testing strategy and the quality of the outputs of the internal/external development teamsProvide people leadership for data engineers, professional development and engineering resources allocated to the productDefine critical non-functional requirements that sustain throughout the data product lifecycleParticipate in release preparation and planningManage temporary solutions and technical debt at the squad levelServe as subject matter expert across all McDonald’s data systems.Participate on data quality initiatives.C. Mastery of the innovations in your product Form and constantly update a viewpoint on how your product fits into the broader domainArchitect and define a systems landscape to connect data flows across all McDonalds Data systems.Constantly re-evaluate how your product is delivering value to the customer/end user/etc. and pivot as neededFor example: We should be doing X, Y, Z for completeness in terms of delivering on end-user needs. Own the product roadmapsContinually manage the product roadmaps to support product vision and to deliver on key business prioritiesMap the product roadmaps to a single product release plan and provide visibility to markets and other business stakeholdersMaintain documentation of product roadmap and provide visibility to the markets and other business stakeholdersActively manage and drive accountability of 3rd party technology vendorsAbility to synthesize information and communicate effectively to a broad range of stakeholders b. The expected salary range for this role is $129,800 – $165,490/- per year
