Description Litigation Defense Attorney needed for a growing law national law firm in downtown Chicago. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties, among others:
Represent clients in court or before government agencies.
Prepare and draft legal documents, such as legal briefs, motions, and pleadings.
Conduct legal research and initial case assessments.
Develop litigation strategies and negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
Advise clients on their legal rights and responsibilities.
Maintain continuous client communication to ensure understanding of case progress and strategy.
Supervise and delegate tasks to legal support staff.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to advocate effectively for our clients. Additional qualifications include:
Juris Doctorate degree.
Admitted to practice law in the state of Illinois
Proven experience as a defense litigation attorney.
Comprehensive knowledge of litigation processes and procedures.
Excellent communication, negotiation and client management skills.
Strong understanding of legal research techniques and software.
