Together, Chicago's airports offer service to more than 260 nonstop destinations worldwide, serving more than 105 million passengers each year, and generating more than $60 billion in annual economic activity for the region. The footprints of both airports continue to expand as major capital development programs are underway. These programs, known as O'Hare 21 and the Midway Modernization Program, are designed to increase capacity and connectivity of Chicago's airports over the next decade and throughout the 21st century. The CDA is self-supporting, using no local or state tax dollars for operations or capital improvements at either airport. For more information, visit www.flychicago.com .ESSENTIAL DUTIES : Under general supervision, directly supervises customer service front-line staff, coordinates customer service initiatives, and ensures a positive passenger experience at O’Hare and Midway Airports; and performs related duties as requiredESSENTIAL DUTIES

Supervises the day-to-day operations of front-line customer service staff.

Schedule staff and develop and implement training for front-line customer service staff.

Plans and participates in various CDA customer service initiatives as requested by the Department. Ensure traveler information desks are appropriately staffed.

Conducts training to orient volunteers to airport policies, protocols, and procedures; and informational materials are available and appropriate for distribution.

Monitors email account(s) and responds to customer correspondence program requests regarding any airport customer service complaints or issues.

Schedule staff to support events and activities at both O’Hare and Midway Airports.

Staff and support entertainment and customer engagement events at both O’Hare and Midway Airports.

Maintains financial spreadsheets and reports and processes invoices regarding customer service.

Maintain Aviation stakeholder relationships with airport customer service groups

Support irregular operations such as severe weather.

Organize meeting agendas, recaps, and follow-up tasks.

· Create reports, spreadsheets, fact sheets, and presentations using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.· Assist in tracking budgets, price quotes, invoices, contracts, applications and vendor forms.Additional duties may be required for this position.Qualifications:Location: O’Hare International Airport- Terminal 210000 West O’Hare AvenueShift: VariesHours: VariesTHIS POSITION IS IN THE CAREER SERVICEMIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in business or public administration or a field of study directly related to the responsibilities of the position, plus five years of project management work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.NOTE: Must be flexible to early and/or late meetings and occasional weekends.NOTE: This is a 24/7 on-call operation, based on operational needs.NOTE: Must be flexible to travel to Midway Airport, based on operational needs.NOTE: This position requires a valid license at the time of hire.NOTE: The candidates selected for hire must pass an airport background check and a Security Threat Assessment.SELECTION REQUIREMENTS : This position requires an applicant to successfully complete an interview which will include a written assessment. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, based on the interview and assessment, will be selected.Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following:

Previous work experience in a position involving customer service, guest services, visitor services, or guest experience

Previous experience in a position providing administrative, secretarial, and front-line customer services duties in a large, fast paced organization with complex operations.

Proficiency in MS Word.
