Help build an old pickup in my restoration shop

Idaho, Boise, 83701 Boise USA
Aplica ya

Short time project to build a 1953 Chevy pickup (or maybe a 1955 Ford station wagon, or a 1960 Dodge town wagon , or a ) in my personal restoration shop.

Whichever vintage project I pick (there are several to choose from, I like to maybe start with this 53 five window Chevrolet), it needs to be finished. I think it should be done in about a month, working around 35 to 40 hours per week. My shop has all the tools and space to get it done. What I don’t have is the person that can do the job. My current shop folks are working on a different project so I would like to have a second project getting done soon.

What needs to be done? Depends on the vehicle that we choose. In all cases the project needs to be cleaned up (they start as "barn finds"). Then a plan is developed, parts are added, work is done. This includes assembly (I have all the tools, we do not use yours), mechanics are performed (running engine, working brakes, steering, wiring, etc.). We do not do body and paint (I use outside companies for that). Simple upholstery is performed (one of my folks does that). Basically, finish the vehicle (project), ready to be sold. This is what I do; find and buy something (I focus on 1950' cars and trucks), have my shop rejuvenate it, and release it to the next owner.

I am looking for someone to help me put this project together. This is a short-term project, something to fill in the rest of winter before you go off to your next job. The month's work will be on a 1099 approach. If it turns into full-time the job becomes an employee of my company.

This is the plan; work Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 4:00. Take a half hour lunch break if you desire (or eat a sandwich while you are working). The shop is heated and clean. Three other folks work in it, some part-time, some full-time. We are a smoke-free facility, do not use "street language", enjoy the company ambiance. I am the old guy who sits in the office and pretends that I understand the whole build process.

Again, I would like to find a person who fits into this project. Tell me if you are interested by responding with an email via craigslist. I will attempt to respond to all inquiries if that is possible (depends on the volume and intelligence of the inquiries).

Check me out at my website www.classicidaho.com.

Thanks for any response and consideration, Larry.
