Job Title: Manhole Laborer

Job Summary:
The Manhole Laborer is responsible for assisting in the construction, maintenance, inspection, and repair of manholes and sewer systems. This role involves physical labor, working in confined spaces, and adhering to safety regulations. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the installation, inspection, cleaning, and repair of manholes, sewer lines, and related infrastructure
Assist with the flatwork and other concrete applications
Operate power tools to break, remove, and replace concrete or asphalt
Set up barricades and safety zones to protect work areas
Mix, pour, and finish concrete for manhole repairs or construction
Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working order
Support other crew members and respond to supervisor directions as needed
Qualifications:
Previous experience in concrete construction work is a plus
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting 50+ pounds
Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred or willingness to obtain)
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Basic knowledge of safety practices and equipment operation
Work Conditions:
Exposure to dirt, water, waste, noise, and extreme temperatures
Regular bending, lifting, digging, and standing for extended periods
May require overtime
