Job Description
As a Manager of eCommerce Merchandising, you will be responsible for defining Online Merchandising strategies that are consistent with brand and business goals, and deliver a world-class customer experience. A successful eCommerce Merchandising leader will combine an analytical rigor with a passion for user experience to improve the onsite merchandising strategy and improve KPIs. You will lead a team that will build an unparalleled shopping experience across geographies by collaborating with Creative, Marketing, Product Design and Merchant teams to tell key merchandising stories end to end.
This position reports to the Director of eCommerce. This is a full-time, hybrid in-office position located in Redwood City, CA or Boise, ID which will require you to work three days in-office when we can safely return.
What you’ll do:- Develop eCommerce merchandising strategies that will help meet and/or exceed company revenue and profitability goals
- Partner with Merchandising (physical product) to establish collaborative working cadence with Online Merchandising. Ensure that product goals and benefits are being translated onto our webstores consistently across geographies, and in a way that is consistent with their strategies and value propositions
- Drive day to day optimization and digital revenue responsibilities across brands and geographies. Analyze weekly and daily performance, provide insights and drive day to day optimization across all platforms
- Understand our shopper needs and expectations in different geographies and work with creative teams to achieve a balanced, strategic approach to online merchandising localization and processes
- Set direction for merchandising strategies based on assessment of the competitive landscape (site merchandising strategies of key competitors and best-in-class online retailers) and emerging online trends
- Work with Marketing, Merchandising, and Creative teams in our integrated planning process to deliver a cohesive shopping experience across all touchpoints
- Maintain A/B testing roadmap across brands and geographies; represent testing plans and needs cross functionally, and share out learnings and actions based on completed tests
- Manage a small team of online merchandisers to develop and execute tactical plans across brands and geographies
- 8+ years eCommerce or Site Merchandising experience in DTC retail; international experience preferred
- Strong understanding of web-based consumer behavior and eCommerce KPIs
- Proven track record of team leadership
- Strong retail math and analytical skills
- Ability to build constructive and effective relationships with broad group of business partners
- Attention to detail, highly organized, deadline-driven and goal and results oriented
- Extremely flexible/adaptable attitude; enjoyment of a “startup” mentality
- Excellent written, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Demonstration of strong business ownership
- Strong presentation skills; highly literate in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
