Job DescriptionMindPoint Group, LLC is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and well-organized individual with prior experience administering US government security policies and procedures to serve as a Facility Security Officer (FSO). The FSO will be responsible for daily security operations and 32 CFR part 117 (NISPOM) compliance. Work location is remote; however, candidates must be able to work in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area without the need for advance notice. This is a full-time position.What you get to do every day:The FSO will apply knowledge of, and experience with a good understanding of the 32 CFR National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) as well as various Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), required for Sensitive Compartmented Information program procedures. Will also serve as an Alternate Facility Security Officer (AFSO).

Maintain personal training and certifications as required for contracts.

Train and orient employees in security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with government and customer regulations.

Provide briefing and debriefing to employees holding clearances, and regular re-briefing of employees on foreign travel and hostile intelligence.

Securely maintain personnel security records.

Ensure compliance with 32CFR Part 117- NISPOM and all security protocols required by customers or contracts and keep abreast of ever-changing industrial security regulations.

Maintain successful working relationships with government agencies and security offices of current customers.

Responsible for the successful preparation and completion of annual inspections to ensure government compliance.

Responsible for all transactional aspects of security clearance processing using various government clearance systems (NISS, SWFT, NBIS, DISS, and NCAISS).

Collaborate and consult with the Contracts Department to ensure compliance with all prime and subcontractor security requirements, including the completion, dissemination, and tracking of all DD254s.

Conduct security self-inspections, apply risk mitigation methodologies, support customer assessments, and implement security measures to meet requirements.

Promptly provide badging for employees, subcontractors, and others.

QualificationsApplicable US Government Clearance requiredWhat skills are required?

Bachelor's degree or four years of relevant FSO experience in lieu of degree.

Five (5) plus years of experience as a security professional with at least three (3) years as an FSO or CSSO supporting Department of Defense or Intelligence Community programs.

Working knowledge of the government clearance systems NISS, SWFT, NBIS, DISS, and NCAISS is required.

Demonstrated knowledge and functional understanding of the 32CFR Part 117- NISPOM and ability to administer it.

Ability to manage complex situations, along with a demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks while still meeting deadlines.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Professional

Strong organizational and administrative skills

FSO Certifications for Non-Possessing Facility required.

Familiarity with e-APP is required

Experience with DCSA audits is required

Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $115 - $130K. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
