Summary StatementPrepares, cooks, and presents a variety of foods for members and guests, parties, and catered events at Warm Springs or Quail Hollow golf courses.This position is open to all interested persons aged 18 and above.This position is designated as At-Will.Essential FunctionsPrepares meals to order using commercial kitchen equipment. Prepares inventory and ordering to ensure kitchen is adequately stocked and expenses are properly managed. Develops new food and presentation ideas. (40%)Ensures the highest quality and consistency of food preparation and presentation and that all food safety regulations are followed. (20%)Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times and helps ensure the safety of fellow employees. (20%)Uses positive customer service skills to interact with clients and provide a high quality dining experience. (10%)Performs other duties as assigned. Total Percentage = 100%RequirementsRequired Knowledge, Experience, And TrainingOne year of experience as a cook.Working knowledge of broiler, flat grill, fryer, convection oven, six burner stove, meat slicer and all cooking utensils.Ability to be a diplomatic team player and leader fostering relationships with cliental; develop and manage staff to achieve individual and departmental goals; multi-task and react to a variety of situations quickly and calmly; interact with the public and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner; display an attitude of cooperation and work harmoniously with all levels of city employees, the general public and other organizations; communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance; complete assignments in a timely fashion; understand and comply with all rules, policies and regulations; maintain prompt and regular attendance; perform all essential and marginal functions as assigned by an authorized employee, supervisor and/or manager with or without a reasonable accommodation.Preferred Knowledge, Experience, And TrainingTwo years' experience as a cook.Special RequirementsApplicants must be able to pass:City of Boise background check processes which includes a criminal history check and reference checks in accordance with the City of Boise Hiring Process RegulationWorking ConditionsThe physical effort characteristics and working environment described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
