Tree Radar Specialist - Perform advanced tree risk assessment studies to develop the TreeRadar division of the company’s business, using professional judgment and problem-solving skills to effectively analyze complex data, situations, and problems in a dynamic environment. Duties include performing data collection using advanced non-invasive TreeRadar analysis software on various project sites; developing detailed protocols for data collection based on site requirements and client needs; performing mapping of trees to be studied using geospatial technology and other tools, including subsurface mapping of roots, evaluating trunk defects, and other structural damage; providing TreeRadar training to employer and client staff; traveling to client sites and ensuring all necessary equipment is taken to the worksite; coordinating and scheduling work with other contractors and government authorities; ensuring the daily safe and efficient operation of equipment, making sure all onsite OSHA safety requirements, as well as additional company standards, are met; performing detailed inspection of the set scope of work components, analyzing data, and creating daily reports; coordinating meetings and presentations with current and potential clients; representing the company with presentations at trade shows and industry events; and using Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.

Position requires (1) Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Science, Arboriculture, or closely-related agriculture field. (2) Two years of experience performing tree risk assessment studies in the arboriculture field using TreeRadar analysis software. (3) TreeRadar Certificate of Training Completion and Certificate of International Trainer within the past 3 years. (4) Must be able to climb trees up to 50 feet to perform trunk evaluations. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds to load equipment in vehicles. (5) Travel 40% of worktime within Hawaii to visit client sites, make presentations, and attend trade shows; 10% out of state to the mainland United States to lead projects, make presentations, and train operators. (6) Work schedule Monday through Saturday 8am to 5pm.
