Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure the seamless movement of trucks, and drive efficiency and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership skills, industry expertise, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Oversee and manage day-to-day operations, including transportation of freight, aggregate, paving and heavy machinery.
-Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
-Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including customs and import/export requirements.
-Coordinate with clients, carriers, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
-Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
-Lead, mentor, and manage operations staff to achieve company goals and maintain high morale.
-Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers and partners.
-Implement safety and quality assurance protocols to maintain operational standards.
-Manage budgets, forecast operational needs, and allocate resources effectively.
-Troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges promptly.
Qualifications:
-Proven experience in freight logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
-Strong leadership and team management skills.
-Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
-Knowledge of freight regulations, customs processes, and transportation management systems.
-Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business administration, or a related field (preferred but not required).
