Elitech Systems is seeking a motivated Field Operations Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work alongside Senior Technicians, supporting our mission to deliver transformational technology solutions to businesses and government organizations. Our services include technology deployments, ICT infrastructure consulting, IT asset management, and network structured cabling and wireless solutions.
This is a hands-on role in a dynamic environment, perfect for someone who enjoys working on different sites and tackling new challenges every day.
###This role requires frequent travel between various job sites, including regular inter-island transit, and necessitates a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. As a condition of employment, all candidates must be able to pass comprehensive background checks to gain access to secure client facilities.
###Primary Responsibilities
Conduct on-site pre-task surveys for project planning.
Install, manage, and terminate various cable types including Cat 5/6, Copper, and Fiber Optic.
Perform cable installation, termination, labeling, and documentation.
Establish voice and data networks through cable installation and splicing
Mount telecommunications equipment, including routers, switches, servers, and security systems.
Install cable pathway systems using industry-standard tools and equipment.
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all network configurations and specifications.
Interface professionally with customer representatives on-site.
Operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment safely and professionally at all times.
Ensure all work complies with safety codes, industry standards, and client requirements.

###Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years of recent experience in structured cabling and telecommunications installation (preferred).
Comfortable using various hand tools.
Proficiency with basic business software (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Willingness to complete company-required training (compliance, OSHA safety).
A foundational knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, basic networking architecture, and hardware systems is a significant advantage.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
###Physical Requirements & Work Environment
This is a physically demanding field-based position. The successful candidate must have the physical ability to:
Lift and carry loads of up to 75 lbs., including ladders and equipment.
Work from a kneeling or standing position for extended periods.
Perform tasks in various conditions, including confined spaces (attics, crawl spaces).
Comfortable working at heights and on ladders
Physical mobility for bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to sit/stand for extended periods.
Willing to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
