Full-Time Heavy Machine Operator Needed
We are seeking two full-time heavy machine operators to join our team for farm development. The ideal candidates will be responsible for operating excavators, woodchippers, and skid steers, as well as assisting in various tasks around the farm.
Requirements:
- Positive attitude and punctuality
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors for extended periods
- Willingness to assist with tree planting, basic sprinkler system operations, fence installation, trench digging, and watering seeded areas
- English-speaking proficiency required
- Basic handyman skills such as mounting shelving, furniture assembly, and vehicle washing
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and ability to run town errands as needed
- Compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
- Willingness to assist our on-site mechanic with basic machinery and vehicle repairs
- Ability to lead a small group of workers in land clearing activities to reduce fire hazards
- Business insurance coverage preferred
Hours and Compensation:
- Full-time position (40 hours per week)
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
