Kama’aina Handyman is a local small business offering a range of services island wide servicing
residential and commercial customers.
The Administrative Assistant position requires the ability to handle multiple jobs/projects at one time
and demonstrate great communication skills (both written and verbal) while supporting the team by
providing a broad range of support in dispatching, accounting, and general office duties.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
● Answer phones and dispatch
● Assist the office manager - provide administrative support
● Assist the executives - provide administrative support
● Ensure the office is kept in a welcoming and tidy manner
● Ensure office supplies are stocked
● Be the go-to-person in the office
● Minute-taking and meeting scheduling of company and Member Meetings
● Coordinating Travel arrangement
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Essential
● Strong administration skills – organized, thorough, systems orientated with attention to detail
● Ability to clearly and professionally communicate with people at all levels
● Excellent levels of writing skills, computer literacy and touch-typing skills
● Must have experience with Google Docs and Google Mail
● Be confident and friendly
● The ability to create a positive impression in a professional, courteous and efficient manner to
ensure excellent client service
● Proactive, punctual and reliable
● Well-presented and spoken
● An enthusiastic nature and able to multi-task
● Enjoys dealing with people daily and is tolerant, polite but assertive
● Previous experience in an administrative role
● Ability to quickly and easily learn new software platforms
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
● Required to work on weekends
● Able to work extended hours when reasonably required
● Required to sign a non-compete form
● Maintain a current and valid driver license
● This role is based from the office in Hawaii Kai and may not have the option to work from home.
