The Marketing & Social Media Assistant will promote the company’s products and services to existing and prospective customers through strategic use of social media, multi-media platforms, logos, and other promotional products. Responsibilities:
Collaborates with sales or marketing representatives to fully understand product and communication needs
Oversees the company’s interactions with the public through implementing content strategies on social media platforms (including FB, IG, YouTube, LinkedIn)
Analyzes engagement data, identifying trends in customer interactions and planning digital campaigns to build community online
Gathers the materials necessary to understand the project and competition in the area such as literature or previous marketing campaigns; analyzes these materials to determine the most effective communications technique
Based on assessment, drafts and proposes communications campaigns, which may include social and online media, print media, direct mail, and other multimedia
Presents design ideas and recommendations to marketing manager, committee, or sales team
Creates and coordinates multimedia packages
Composes draft speeches for senior management and assists with finalizing speeches
Schedules and develops film scripts and production
Evaluates success of campaigns when completed
Attends company events, trade shows and community fairs and staffs the company booth as a brand ambassador
Assists on other areas of Marketing such as digital adverting, print, radio, tv, etc.
Other projects and duties may be assigned by the Marketing Manager
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or related field preferred
Three to five years of related experience writing and editing projects; portfolio of relevant previous projects highly preferred
Demonstrated experience with multi-media content campaigns, including short-form video, social media marketing concepts and content creation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills that may include public speaking and presentations
Proficiency with creating and managing social media campaigns, including campaign conceptualization, audience targeting and performance analysis
Experience with managing/updating company websites w/ fluency in CMS platforms including (or similar to) WordPress, Wix, Shopify, Webflow, etc.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite or related software
Willingness and ability to perform all required duties and additional duties as needed
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time
