Our family is seeking a kind, reliable, and experienced personal caregiver to provide companionship and assistance to our 83-year-old mother in her Waikiki home. We are looking for someone part-time with flexible hours (15-20 hours per week) who can help her maintain her independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Providing warm companionship and engaging in conversation/activities.
Assisting with light meal preparation.
Performing light housekeeping tasks (e.g., tidying up, laundry, keeping living spaces clean and safe).
Running errands, such as grocery shopping.
Providing assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed.
Monitoring health and any behavioral changes, and reporting them appropriately.
Assisting with a wide range of recreational activities.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
Previous experience in caregiving, particularly with seniors.
Preferred: Experience and/or knowledge in cognitive decline or dementia care.
A strong understanding of how to assist with Activities of Daily Living.
Excellent interpersonal skills: must be empathetic, patient, and a good listener.
Commitment to practicing good hygiene and health precautions.
Knowledge of how to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
Reliability, punctuality, and trustworthiness.
Schedule & Compensation:
Schedule: Flexible – we are open to discussing hours that work for both parties. Please indicate your general availability when applying.
Pay Rate: $25 - $30 per hour, depending on experience (DOE).
Requirements:
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.

Reliable transportation.
