Job Summary:
Maui Hub is seeking a reliable and efficient individual to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately packing fresh produce, maintaining quality standards, and assisting in daily operations where needed. We are looking for someone who shares our goal of supporting our community.
Key Responsibilities:
Packing Produce: Carefully pack fresh produce into boxes and containers for delivery and pickup.
Quality Control: Inspect produce for quality and freshness, ensuring only the best products are packed.
Inventory Management: Assist with inventory counts and restocking produce as needed.
Physical Labor: Stand on your feet for long hours and lift up to 50 lbs as required.
Flexibility: Be open to working in other areas of operation, such as assisting with deliveries, customer service, or other tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in packing and quality control.
Flexibility: Willingness to assist in various areas of operation and adapt to changing tasks and priorities.
Team Player: Ability to work well within a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
Reliability: Punctual and dependable
Part-Time: 20 hours per week (Wednesday-Friday)
How to Apply:
This position is funded through the Displaced Worker Program, so applicants must:
- Have lived on Maui before August 8, 2023 AND
-Be temporarily or permanently laid off as a consequence of the disaster OR
-Have lost their job in any way as a result of the disaster OR
-Be self-employed, but became un or underemployed as a result of the disaster OR
-Have experienced a loss or decrease in income in any way as a result of the disaster.
