Botanical Garden Cafe- Hiring Server/Cashier & Cook

Savor Maui is a food truck cafe along the Hana Highway (360) located at the entrance of the Garden of Eden Arboretum and Botanical Garden, mile marker 10.5 (roughly 1 hour from Kahului, 45 mins from Paia, 25 mins past Twin Falls.)

Savor Maui is located in a beautiful working environment- ocean and mountain views, frequent rainbows, and friendly peacocks wandering around at the entrance of a widely visited botanical garden. We are hiring part-time for the busy summer season. We strive to create a fun and professional working environment and are looking for positive and like-minded individuals to join our team! Applicants must be quick, competent, and detail oriented.

Business Hours: 9am - 4pm

Compensation: Starting Pay $20/hr + tips (ranging $6 - $10/hr + in tips) Tips are very good throughout the high season summer months

Requirements: Reliable and fully insured vehicle, Hawaii accredited Food Handlers Certificate (easy to obtain), enthusiasm, and prior restaurant/customer service experience

Dress code: Aloha/floral print business casual, modest, clean, and refined appearance.

Server/Cashier Daily Duties:

- Take customer orders (Using Square POS system)

- Execute the Beverage station. Handing out cold beverages and composing our fresh craft lemonades to order. (Streamlined process)

- Be able to interact patiently, professionally, skillfully in a friendly manner with customers.

- General kitchen knowledge of prepping and restocking the drink station with supplies, First in First out method, great sanitation practices.

- Team Oriented. We cultivate a team culture where we all work together, helping one another out and working towards the same common goal of creating a professional culinary product and experience for guests.

Line Cook/ Daily Food Prep: (may start at higher rate dependent upon experience)

- In charge of executing all menu items on a fully functional cooking line. Menu is simple and small, consisting of several menu items to execute on the hot line.

- Knowledge of how to operate cooking equipment. Can be taught though previous experience is preferred.

- Prep and restock line station before, during, and after shift. Track Inventory.

-Be able to think on your feet in times when needed to find a logical solution to an order/ guest request.

- Team Oriented. We cultivate a team culture where we all work together, helping one another out and working towards the same common goal of creating a professional culinary product and experience for guests.

- Knows how to follow food safety guidelines and kitchen sanitation practices. FIFO Method. We keep a clean kitchen and operation, and need our team members to be mindful, and operate with a high degree of cleanliness.
