Dive Kauai Scuba Center is a large adventure company with 24 years on Kauai Scuba Diving. We are seeking experienced qualified captains for immediate start and year round opportunities.

We are hiring full time and part time positions for immediate start. Offering competitive pay and benefits to qualified candidates. SET SCHEDULE - 4 Days work/3 Days off each week. Know your schedule for a month at a time.
The captain position is very dynamic with our company. This is very much a hospitality job first and foremost with responsibility to provide safe and exceptional service to all of our guests. For Scuba diving trips, the captain assists with scuba gear off and on the boat. Assisting divers in and out of the boat. For Snorkeling and Whale Watching trips, the captain is more the lead tour guide with stories, history and lore. Detailed safety briefings must be conducted specifically for our vessel before each and every tour.
Minimum Requirements:
All candidates must hold US Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credentials. Full time candidates must have minimum Masters 25 GRT Credential. Part time candidates must hold minimum OUPV “6-Pack” credential.
Must be able to work legally in the USA
Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug testing.
Must have full schedule availability and be able to run minimum of 2 possibly 3 tours each day.
No need to be a scuba diver, however, understanding or willingness to learn aspects will be a plus.
BONUS if you:
Have 2+ years of experience captaining on Kauai
CPR/First Aid Certified
PAY:
Training and work pay is $30/hour PLUS Generous Gratuities
(starting pay can be higher based on experience)
(Doing the math: $30X40 = $1200/week X 52 weeks = $62,400 in wage potential BEFORE Generous Gratuities)

DURATION:
We are a year round activity company and can provide hours year round. We do work holidays. MUST be able to work June-September, December 15-January 15 (No time off requests - Black out periods)
