P.B. Sullivan Construction, Inc. is searching for an experienced Administrative Assistant/Accountant to join our team. This position will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative and accounting clerical tasks as well as processing accounts payable and accounts receivable records/invoices for our Construction and Aggregate Company.

Key Responsibilities:

Reports to and communicates with Accounting Manager and Controller to provide overall administrative assistance to the company.

Process weekly payroll, when required

Receive and route invoices to designated companies.

Enter invoices for payment.

Maintain files and financial documents using an organized filing system as instructed electronically or non-electronically.

Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Process daily statements and reports using computerized software programs.

Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures established by the company.

Performs every task with professionalism.

Qualifications:

Willing to grow with in the company.

High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree preferred.

Experience in Point-of-Sale transactions preferred but not required.

2 years of Accounts Payable/ Accounts Receivable required, 1 to 3 years of construction or aggregate sales accounting preferred.

Equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.

General understanding of accounting practices and principles.

Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Must have good communication skills in both verbal and written format.

Experience in Data Entry Required.

Ability to apply discretion with confidential material.

Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial data.

Ability to effectively apply analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent time managing skill with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines.
