Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Detail oriented and with the ability to multi-task.
- Analytical thinker with problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure within deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Examine and analyze client accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Perform audit activities including risk assessments, audit testing, control evaluation, workpaper documentation, and verification of issue resolution.
- Identify potential problem areas in specific engagements and communicate them with supervisors.
- Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences.
- Identify the areas of deficiencies and weaknesses and make suggestions for improvements.
- Draft financial statements and reports on audit findings, including footnote disclosures.
- Participate in preparing annual tax returns for clients.
- Perform other accounting and consulting duties as needed in engagements and as assigned by supervisory personnel.
