The AR Manager will be responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable processes and ensuring that billings, liens, and cash applications are managed efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will be adept at navigating the complexities of construction finance, capable of optimizing cash flow, and meeting contractual obligations. Additionally, this role will require a person who is self-motivated, pays close attention to detail, maintains excellent organizational skills, and demonstrates a solid grasp of construction accounts receivable processes.

Responsibilities:

Billing and Accounts Receivables:

-Prepare and issue invoices in AIA format for construction projects and T&M billing for customer projects.

-Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure billing timeliness, accuracy and compliance.

-Manage accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and timely posting of payments.

-Reconcile billing accounts and resolve discrepancies.

-Maintain accurate records of all jobs, contract costs, billing, and customer activities within the accounting software and/or tracking sheets

-Interperet customer contracts to ensure accurate billing

-Foster positive relationships with customers, clients, and other stakeholders to secure timely payments while maintaining trust and professionalism.

-Optimize cash-flow and assure contractual obligations are met

-Ensure that all lien releases are accurately completed and collected from contractors to avoid any potential legal disputes

-Assit in managing cash flow by ensuring timely receipt of payments and accurately tracking and forecasting cash receipts

-Provide regular reports to management as needed

-Ensure adherence to company policies and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

-Assist in the improvement of billing and collections processes for increased efficiency.

-Assist in month-end financial statement close and other accounting department duties as requested.

-Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

-Associates Degree or higher in Accounting/Business – preferred.

-5 years experience in billing and accounts receivable– required.

-Construction industry or project-based environment – preferred.

-Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with all levels of employees, management, and external organizations - required.

-Proficiency in MacOS Microsoft Suites - Word, Excel, PowerPoint - required.
