The Local on 17 Prime Steaks is looking for an enthusiastic Sous Chef and Head Line Cook to join our team at our steakhouse and sister restaurants.
The Sous Chef assists in the day-to-day operations of all areas of the kitchen including production, prep, stewarding, purchasing and receiving.
The Sous Chef will be able to effectively lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef, thinking positively and proactively to handle any obstacles and solve potential issues that may arise. The ideal candidate is a natural leader with ability to maintain, motivate and inspire a cohesive team, while working calmly under pressure. 3-years of progressive culinary experience preferred, one of which in a Lead Cook or Sous Chef position.
Applicants should be ServSafe Manager certified, know how to multi-task, saute, make sauces, do scratch cooking, create specials, understand food cost.
