Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, establishing budgets and forecasting, preparing audits, and handling internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting Requirements - High attention to detail
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Must have excellent time management skills
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
2+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
ERP system experience
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
VLOOKUP experience
Adeptness in account reconciliation
High-Volume Invoicing experience
Solid understanding of general ledger
Pivot Table experience preferred
Good understanding of Post Journal Entries
General familiarity with Ledger Account Reconciliation
Demonstrated knowledge of Monthly Account Reconciliation
Adjusting Journal Entries experience highly valued
Practical knowledge of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
Deep understanding of Full Cycle Accounting
Earlier work involving Month-end Journal Entries
Background working with SOX
Previous experience working with Prepare Journal Entries
Bank Account Reconciliation experience highly preferred
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
