Field Service Technician
GunnCo Pump & Control Inc. is an industrial pump company primarily servicing landfills across the Southeast region. We are family-owned and operated and have been since the company began in 1999. With a solid reputation for high quality service and systems, we are seeking a field service technician to provide on-site installation and repairs of pumping systems. This position requires daily travel to sites across the Southeast. Travel time is paid and truck/fuel card/daily per diem are provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Represents the company by serving as the direct customer contact and is responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, examining, diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at customer’s location.
Assemble and test equipment.
Install equipment at customer sites and ensure functionality.
Provide on-site troubleshooting and repairs.
Submit service reports for invoicing.
Review customer reports and inspect equipment for issues.
Package and ship orders.
Assemble customer orders.
Position will require 1-3 nights a week out for travel to sites (travel limited to southeast) most weeks.
All employees are required to be able to take a drug test for GunnCo or to meet customer requirements. GunnCo is a tobacco free company.
On job training will be provided.
Pay will be by the hourly range, biweekly pay, based on experience. Opportunities for growth in company.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of the instrumentation and control industry.
Associate’s degree or technical school equivalent.
Will need valid driver’s license. Clean driving record required. Tools and service vehicle provided. Must be insurable on GunnCo vehicle insurance policy.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to write reports.
Problem-solving skills.
Physically able to lift 60 pounds, stand, kneel, climb, and balance.
Results oriented with primary focus on problem definition and generation of alternate solutions.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
