A large service and repair company is looking for a full time concrete professional to join our team!
This role will perform tasks involving setting forms, preparing subgrades, setting and tying steel rebar, placing wet concrete and properly finishing the concrete as required by project, operating a variety of hand and power tools, cleaning and preparing job sites, stripping and maintaining concrete forms, cutting, tamping, and cleaning up rubble and debris. This person may assist other workers.
We are looking for someone with a valid GA driver's license, Drug Free and a great work ethic.
We need to be able to insure you as a driver of our vehicles, therefore must also have a good driving record over the last 3 years.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-Prepare and set concrete forms.
-Properly use tools needed to finish the placed wet concrete. Tools may include shovels, trowels, floats, bull floats, brooms, rakes, screeds, etc.
-Shovel wet concrete, finish concrete, and generally assist in placing concrete as directed.
-Prepare subgrade to final grade required by project specifications.
-Assist in moving, erecting, and stripping various form work.
-Material handling and storage.
-Ability to be flexible with schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes. Overtime work required. Out of town/county work may be required.
-Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety policy and maintain individual PPE in a functional condition.
-Load/unload trucks and haul off materials.
-Operating equipment such as skid steer loaders, etc.
-Driving small trucks, flatbeds, etc.
-Previous construction experience required. Previous experience working with concrete required.
Language: English and Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
