We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher / Crew Driver to join our dynamic team at GCW Concrete Connect. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of concrete finishing tasks, as well as driving the crew to various job sites from Norcross to all jobs within a 100 mile range. This position requires a high level of precision and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, walks, sidewalks, roads, or curbs using a variety of hand and power tools.
Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, or gutters; patch voids; and use saws to cut expansion joints.
Drive crew to and from project sites safely and punctually.
Read and interpret project plans and specifications to determine the kind and amount of work needed.
Coordinate with the construction team to ensure schedules are maintained and delays are effectively minimized.
Maintain records of work performed and complete daily reports.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a concrete finisher with a minimum of 1 year in the field.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to drive various types of vehicles and transport crew members and equipment.
Strong understanding of concrete composition and the effects of weather on concrete curing.
Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy equipment and materials.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
High school diploma or equivalent; Driver's license from state of GA is a must
