If you’re ready to start learning, growing, and making an impact with a career in fintech, we’d like to know: Are you FIS?What You Will Be DoingAs the Securities Operations Manager, you will manage the daily activities of the Trade Settlements Team and assist senior management with servicing clients, while maintaining and improving operational procedures.Monitor day-to-day activity of clients; work with operations staff to deliver consistently high levels of service; and take responsibility and ownership over resolution of all client service-related issuesDirectly responsible for managing a staff of three or more individualsDeliver an operations environment that meets all service level agreementsViewed as an expert resource by peers and coworkers, and maintain a good working relationship with both internal and external customersDevelop, manage, and forecast the budgets for the relevant cost centersWork closely with other management structure to provide clients with world-class service and swift problem resolutionSelect, train, develop, and lead an efficient and effective Settlements teamDevelop, document and implement standards, guidelines, direction and education on process/procedures that support departmental standards and staffOversee daily activity of assigned outsourcing relationshipsServe as an escalation point for client issuesSolve complex problems through research and/or communications with other departmentsWhat You BringBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field of study, or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experienceTypically, at least 5 years financial services experience working with institutional trust accounts and/or client relationships, and at least 1 year of leadership responsibility in managing othersClient servicing experience and basic knowledge of securitiesAdvanced skills in Microsoft Office, with proficiency in Excel, as well as a basic knowledge of how internal systems workUnderstanding of broadly syndicated loans and trade fee calculationsKnowledge of transfer documentation, including purchase price letters, netting letters, funding memos, participation agreements, consent and elevation agreements, termination agreements and transfer certificatesExcellent decision-making, problem-solving, team building, negotiation, conflict management and time management skillsAbility to lead by example and motivate professional level staffExcellent interpersonal skills to establish high levels of customer satisfactionBroad understanding of the financial and strategic aspects of the business and establishes initiatives that contribute to the overall success of the enterpriseAdded Bonus If You HaveExposure to both TSI and Clear Par systemsExperience with daily loan transactions and loan tracking systemsWhat We Offer YouA career at FIS is more than just a job.
