Job DescriptionInsight Global's client is looking to hire a Sales Engineer in the Eastern US. The Engineer will be responsible for supporting both the NE and SE region once he/she is trained up on all the products. This role is not a direct sales role, but is intended to support the segments various markets and be a utility player to serve as a technical subject-matter expert and resource throughout the assigned area. This individual will be responsible for engaging in the pre sale and post sale meetings. For instance, he/she will demo a product to the customers and cover the technical questions/technical portion of the product. This person will also be accompanied by a sales person during these meetings. There will be a training period where this person will spend time on jobsites/in the field looking at valves and other various products along with assisting on demos in order to get comfortable and familiar with the products.The rest of this persons time will be spent calling on Municipalities (i.e. city of ATL, Washington DF, etc) with a sales person, working with project management teams, gathering technical information from the plant engineering teams, and drafting letter for sales staff to provide to end-users, etc.$90,000 - exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Previously working as a Sales Engineer, Technical Engineer, or similar profession with a proven track record of working as the liaison between the engineers and sales teams.

   Construction background - since they have the mindset of "how do I start at base and then build something up" OR someone who has experience w/w a mechanical product. i.e. bulldozer

 - Critical thinker, someone who can evaluate the situation and question before verifying with a customer - looking for cautious optimism.

 - Proven track record of providing technical experience in prior work assignments

 - Aptitude and comfort with explaining product differentiators for customer needs and putting together presentations and presenting to clients

 - BA in Mechanical Engineering or related field

 - Valid drivers license with no major violations

 - Ability to routinely travel up to 75% of work schedule (estimated 3-4 days/week of travel with one WFH day). - Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and other technology-based productivity tools (i-Squared, Salesforce.com, NetSuite, OnContact, Maximizer CRM, TeamWox, etc)

 - Experience in selling to the water market

 - Experience calling on and servicing municipalities and engineers null
