Location: Atlanta, GA (100% Onsite)Duration: 12 months. Possible extension and/or conversion based on performance.Pay rate: $30/hrRole Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Sales Tax Compliance Specialist to manage sales tax returns and business license filings. This role ensures compliance with state and local tax requirements, minimizing the sales and use tax burden for the company.Responsibilities:

Process sales and use tax returns, ensuring compliance with state and local requirements.

Review and reconcile general ledger data for tax software compliance.

Conduct tax research and maintain compliance files.

Support audits and review journal entries for accuracy.

Perform monthly tax reconciliations and analyze liability accounts.

Review sales tax exemption certificates.

Utilize Alteryx for compliance processes (a plus).

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

4-6 years of sales tax compliance experience.

Experience with multi-state sales tax compliance and Vertex Indirect Tax Returns.

Proficient in sales tax research, audits, and registrations.

Experience with business licensing filings and general ledger reconciliation.

Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.

Experience with relational databases (Access, Hyperion, Alteryx, Tableau, Micro-Strategy) is a plus.
