Job ID8442204501Cox Communications is searching for a Network Planning Engineer who will be responsible for improving operational efficiencies around network planning including developing tools for measuring, modelling and forecasting network traffic, infrastructure capacity needs, and related performance and capacity management. Ensures data and process quality. Develops reports to clearly and succinctly communicate strategic and tactical results ensuring alignment across enterprise tools.Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Develops and maintains tools for measuring, modelling and forecasting network traffic, infrastructure capacity needs, and related performance Develops reports and documentation to clearly and succinctly communicate results Develop reports and analysis to verify data and process quality as well as support procedures to feedback quality problems for owning teams for resolution Interfaces to related models, procedures, and organizations Identifies, researches, and resolves discrepancies in analytical procedures or cross-functional methodsRelated Tasks Work with product and engineering teams to identify and refine requirements Collect network performance data from various sources Work with corporate and regional engineers to operationalize and document capacity plans Work with EMO and Finance teams to create and execute budget Work with Atlanta engineering teams and vendors to develop 0 18 month tactical plans. Conducts impact analyses and validation studies through all stages: concept formulation, definition of metrics, determination of appropriate statistical methodology, research evaluation, and final research report Provides and conducts trend analysis to support business operations; may include budget modeling Interprets operational requirements and methods and procedures for inclusion in studies and analysis, and to conduct root causes analyses and make recommendations to improve the business processes Provides recommendations for operational efficiencies and process improvements and assists in policy development to support change initiatives Write code to automate reports and templates and consolidate data into reports and knowledge Conducts statistical analyses to create actionable insights for department leadership With guidance, presents data and provides recommendations to department leadership for their use in making operational decisions, identifying process improvements and developing policy development to support change initiatives Provides input to leadership on performance issues and operational process improvements Uses and may program statistical analysis software Ability to prioritize work and remain productive whether in office or remote Ability to simplify complex concepts and analysis results for Executive reviewQualifications:Minimum: 2+ years in related field (IT, Engineering, Technology).
