Job purpose:The applications engineer will support customers with technical issues, identify root causes, and collaborate with sales, operations, quality, product management, and technology teams. They will act as the local expert in product usage, focusing on packaging, shelf life testing, customer applications, and quality issues, as well as assisting with automation and testing equipment processes.Main accountabilities and tasksProvides technical advice to the sales force to resolve product or service requests regarding engineering or technical issues.Provides technical training to clients/colleagues and communicates customer feedback into future product developmentsResponds quickly to questions and inquiries from the customer regarding technical problems and issues that arise and provides related technical support or assistanceAssesses potential application of company products or services and offers solutions that meet customer needsMaintains local database or file system of technical projects, requests, and lab work per the medmix guidelines on data retention, allowing for preservation of lab test data and customer product testing.Assists operations with automation equipment for assembly and facilitate with vendors the repairs and service.Manages test equipment, testing procedures, and organization of the lab space as a customer presentable facility.Co-responsible for quality response to customers, ensuring technically sound reporting from sales to operations, and operations to the customer.
