Logistics Coordinator

We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team. This person will be responsible for coordinating overall shipping and operations day-to-day tasks to ensure effectiveness and efficiency as well as customer service. The Shipping Coordinator will communicate directly with custom brokers, warehouses, carriers, and other service providers to create efficiencies within the process.  Position responsibilities are not limited to the following list:

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Collect packing lists for all inbound lots.

- Collect BL from warehouses, and shippers to ensure that they match with each order in the system.

- Ship orders in the system.

- Receive lots in the system, as well as print pallet tag.  Also, provide pallet tags to Warehouse team.

- Match physical inventory with system inventory.

- Work with Operations Manager to order new supplies in a timely manner.

- Daily communication with Custom Broker, Ocean Carriers, Trucks Dispatchers to ensure on time delivery.

- Make sure that all orders are picked up by our customer’s trucking company promptly by maintaining active communication with them.  

- Assist drivers when they check-in and provide them with all the necessary documentation.

- Print the labels in accordance with the order/customer.

- Print Pick Tickets of each lot for Warehouse Team and Re-pack personal (receiving tickets and pick tickets) and order material check list.

- Upload repacking documentation in Google drive on a timely manner.

- Suggest any ideas for process improvement.

- Coordinate with Carriers (dispatcher and drivers) the arrival time and schedule appointments as needed.

- Maintain a daily log of all appointments including name of carrier, contact information and appointment time.

- Answer the phone courteously.

- Assist sales department when needed with order status to customers.

- Support with the management of temporary personnel, such as setting up new temporary employees in the timekeeping clock, receiving the request for temporary employees form and contacting the staffing agencies as needed.

- Manage warehouse documents record keeping/storage and provide recommendations for improvement.

- Work collaboratively and effectively with all Company departments (Sales, Transportation, Warehouse, Procurement, - Marketing, Accounting and Human Resources) to achieve daily cross-functional objectives.

- Order warehouse and office supplies.

- Support AR collections process including visits to the post office and bank deposits when needed.

- Ensure that samples to new and/or existing customers are sent on the requested date.

- Be on call during the weekends to answer incoming calls.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of related experience.

- Bilingual English & Spanish required.

- Logistics and Accounting experience required.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

- Customer service. Courteous on the phone.

- Analytical and detail-oriented.

- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

- Very effective organizational skills 

- Multitask and problem solver.

- Ability to work with all levels of management.

- Demonstrate ability to plan, prioritize, and organize workflows.

Job Type: Temp to Hire, the goal is to convert after a 4 month probationary

Salary: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour depending on experience

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shift, day shift; 8:30AM to 5:30PM

Ability to commute/relocate: Reliable commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
