Title: Regulatory Accounting AnalystCompany: Peoples Gas SystemState and City: Florida - TampaShift: 8 Hr. X 5 Days | HybridWHAT YOU’LL DOThe Regulatory Accounting Analyst is responsible for regulatory accounting and reporting functions, including, but not limited to journal entries, account reconciliations, regulatory reporting, budget and forecasting, audit requests, account analysis and special projects as needed.Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Prepare journal entries

Reconcile and maintain general ledger accounts

Prepare reports filed with regulatory agencies including the EIA and FPSC

Contribute to department month-end closeout responsibilities

Prepare account analysis and research account variances

Contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts

Assist with ad hoc reporting and special projects

Assist with the preparation of data requests during rate cases and audits

What We’re Looking ForMust Haves:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a regionally accredited university or college

Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or financial-related field will be accepted in lieu of the bachelor’s degree in Accounting

No financial work experience is required, but it is preferred

Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Self-motivated

Detail oriented

Strong analytical skills

Organized

Nice-to-Haves:

One or more years of financial work experience with regulated utility accounting experience

Knowledge of software/systems such as SAP, Power Plant and Allegro
