The Work You Will Do: This Environmental Supervisor IV position performs professional work under the direction of the Environmental Administrator for the Division of Water Resource Management’s Source and Drinking Water Program located in Tallahassee, Florida. Pay:

Your Specific Responsibilities:
Assigns work and monitors performance of direct reports, including periodic written evaluations and discussions;
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating potable reuse and Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) activities, associated rulemaking and permits that the Source and Drinking Water Program issues;
Review of work associated with activities related to federal requirements, including SDWA;
Review of permits associated with Advanced Treatment Water Facilities and other potable water related activities;
Coordinates with other programs, including the implementation of indirect potable reuse via surface waters and aquifer storage and recovery systems;
Works with EPA, the Department’s District offices, delegated county programs, and any other relevant federal, state, or local government agency to ensure consistency and implementation of the federally authorized SDWA program.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to manage and supervise staff;
Ability to formulate policies and procedures;
Ability to work independently and to plan organize and coordinate work assignments;
Knowledge of the concepts, terminology, principles, and analytical techniques of engineering;
Knowledge of data collection and analysis principles and procedures;
Knowledge of software packages for the generation of documents, spreadsheets, and information management;
Ability to collect, evaluate, analyze, and interpret scientific or technical data;
Ability to review data for accuracy and completeness;
Ability to perform arithmetical calculations;
Ability to understand and apply applicable state and federal rules, regulations, legislation, policies, and procedures relating to potable reuse and the Safe Drinking Water Act;
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, especially with the public;
Knowledge of correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar usage;
Ability to prepare correspondences and technical and programmatic reports;
Ability to travel outside Tallahassee; and
Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications:
A 4-year degree from an accredited college or university and 3-years of related professional experience or 7-years of related professional experience can substitute.
A valid driver’s license
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of state rules for drinking water and reclaimed water, including potable reuse;
Knowledge of state permitting processes and procedures;
Knowledge of state rulemaking processes and procedures;
Knowledge of state compliance and enforcement procedures; and
Ability to understand potable reuse and drinking water treatment concepts and principles.
