Description Robert Half has an excellent opportunity for a Full Charge Bookkeeper. Do you multitask effectively and have exceptional communication, organizational, and time-management skills? In this role, you will carry out all general accounting and bookkeeping functions, including but not limited to preparing financial statements, and establishing and preserving accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. The long-term contract / temporary to hire Full Charge Bookkeeper will work in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida.Key responsibilities
Overseeing work of accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers
Preserving historical records through accurate filing of documents
Completing monthly, quarterly, and year end close, on time and in an accurate manner
Studying and adhering to federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and detailing needed actions to management
Reconciling bank and general ledgers, and processing payroll
Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet and statements regarding income and cash flows
Tracking fixed assets and preparing depreciation schedules
Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable; handling collections as needed Requirements - Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures
Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Excel, Quickbooks, and Peachtree
Able to work independently with a minimal amount of oversight
Knowledgeable of accrual and cash basis of accounting
High school diploma or similar certification with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended
Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports
3 or more years of experience in the bookkeeping field
Microsoft experience preferred
Solid understanding of TOPS
Deep understanding of full charge bookkeeping
Condominium real estate experience required
Microsoft Excel experience highly desired
Payroll experience preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
