Single doctor private dental practice in need of a dynamic Dental Hygienist for an immediate opening.
Mon-Fri; Up to 40 hours per week
This is a temporary paid position with option for full-time hire after 30 day review
Our new team member must be well organized and dedicated to our goal of increasing our efficiency while providing excellent care and support for our patients. Must also have advanced communication skills and well versed in educating patients and promoting comprehensive care.
Duties:
- Perform dental cleanings, including removing plaque and calculus from teeth
- Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and taking necessary x-rays
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for maintaining oral health
- Assist the dentist during procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials
- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records
- Follow aseptic techniques to ensure infection control protocols are met
- Stay up-to-date with current dental practices and advancements in the field.
Requirements:
- Valid state license as a Dental Hygienist
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Proficiency in using Dentrix software for treatment planning
- Knowledge of dental office procedures and terminology
- Strong patient assessment skills
- Familiarity with dental coding and documentation requirements
- Understanding of anatomy relevant to oral health
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
