Squadron Group Manager (Navy Aviation)POSITION SUMMARYPAE is seeking a Squadron Group Manager for a position, pending contract award, to function as overall lead, manager, and administrator for the contracted effort at the assigned squadron, facility, task level in Patuxent River, MD.RESPONSIBILITIES:- Manage the CLS of aircraft, aircraft systems and weapon systems required to complete the requirement owner program T&E efforts.
- Serve as the primary interface and point of contact with Government and contractor authorities in the execution of the principles, standards, and techniques of Aircraft Maintenance and support and the application of the contractors management system to the contracts requirements which include applicable Federal, DOD, State, and Local regulations.
- Manage contractor personnel job performance by implementing contract and contractor procedures, planning, and directing execution of the technical, programming, maintenance and administrative support effort and monitoring and reporting progress.
- Manage the employment of program/ project resources and controls financial and administrative aspects of the program/ project with respect to contract requirements.
- Communicate directly with the Government authorities and contractor management and contractor personnel to define and execute requirements.
- Plan, direct, or coordinate the operations of public or private sector organizations, overseeing multiple departments or locations.
- Duties and responsibilities include formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources, but are too diverse and general in nature to be classified in any one functional area of management or administration, such as personnel, purchasing, or administrative services. Usually manage through subordinate supervisors.
- Four years of recent experience in a DOD Contractor logistic services support management role.
- Six years of personnel supervision experience.
- Four years of NAVAIR or other DOD acquisition command experience.
- Four years' experience managing aircraft and aircraft systems maintenance at DCMA 8210 or FAA standards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large and diverse teams and effectively provide guidance, direction, and supervision of contracted effort such as quality control and compliance.
- Knowledge of the NAVAIRINST 3710.1G and or CNAFINST 4790.2.
- Demonstrated experience with CBA and management of a unionized workforce.
- Demonstrated experience with the requirements of the DOD 5000 series.
- Experience with some or all of the following: Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV's), FAA, Fixed & Rotary Wing A/C, Strike Aircraft F/A-18, Patrol, Reconnaissance, Cargo Fixed Wing aircraft, and/or Rotary Wing & Tilt-rotor (V22)
