BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY: The role of Customer Service Rep provides quality customer service to new and existing customers that meet or exceed customer expectations DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Respond to customer request for quotes and enter into computer system.

Review contract requirements requests and consult with QC and Purchasing for special considerations

Obtain price and delivery information from vendors

Communicate with customers to resolve problems and issues

Review pick lists

Enter quotes

Enter Request for Quotes (RFQs)

Review customer confirming purchase orders

Enter orders and review for accuracy

Issue Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs)

Follow Quality standards as according to our Quality Manual

Participate in team meetings as required.

Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.

Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent; or 2 years sales experience required.

Fastener industry preferred.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
