General Property Construction, is a contracting firm specializing in the flooring trade since 2005. We continually strive to go above and beyond our client's goals, timelines, and expectations which has resulted in continued growth.
We would love to talk to you if you have experience as a Foremen in the flooring and/or construction field as well as live in the Miami, Fort Lauderdale, North Broward or West Palm Beach area.
Duties & Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Ensure receipt of materials and report any discrepancies.
Move materials to work areas using a forklift, pallet jack, etc.
Establish an effective working relationship with the Team.
Communicate performance, events, issues, and daily progress to Supervisor.
Establish effective communication with general contractor management and other job site foremen / supervisors. Be a people’s person. Personality is key.
Lead by example by establishing a work and safety ethic to ensure no work conflicts and always striving for an injury free work environment.
Have a sense of urgency and be looking ahead to see what problems can create delay problems. Always be a step ahead.
Understand that when a client needs something done, get it done. Even if it means staying late.
Being responsible. Doing your job is part of your job.
Basic Requirements:
Need to be computer, smart phone(iPhone), and tablet(iPad) proficient. Need to understand how to upload documents and communicate with the office, in order to have a successful job.
Previous experience as a construction superintendent or in a similar role
Knowing the basics of Microsoft office (Excell/Word) and writing emails is a must.
1+ years’ experience as a Foreman and/or Supervisor in a construction environment.
Must be bilingual - English and Spanish
1+ years of forklift operating experience in a construction environment.
Must be organized.
Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
Motivated, responsible, positive moral, good workplace ethics is a must.
OSHA 30
Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites
