The department of Neurology has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Director, Clinical Operations to work at UHealth. The Director, Clinical Operations directs overall strategy and clinical delivery of hospital-based outpatient clinic(s). The Director, Clinical Operations analyzes, develops, and executes resource management modeling, inclusive of operational, financial, and administrative models. Serves as conduit for communications and executions between hospital leadership and the department, to ensure system alignment and efficient progression of a united ambulatory strategy. Assumes responsibility for continuously increasing clinical operations and implementing systems that enhance the patient experience, staff, and physician satisfaction.

Responsible for all clinical operations of the department including satellite locations.

This includes direct oversight of DSMC clinics and clinical support staff in this area.

Responsible for creating plan for transitioning to a Centralized Prior Authorization team including establishing work queues and productivity metrics and is responsible for direct oversight of this team.

Consistently evaluates opportunities for provider schedule optimization and implements action plans to improve department’s access statistics (i.e. schedule utilization rate, fill rate, etc.).

Evaluates access needs and implements action plans including creating plans to mitigate. Tracks provider productivity and communicates to divisions monthly.

Works with division administrators and chiefs to develop and implement action plans to increase productivity for those providers who fall short of productivity goals/metrics.

Creates system to track progress and impact of individual provider action plans. Responsible for monitoring Press Ganey scores/patient satisfaction and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Collaborates with Uconnect leadership to ensure seamless scheduling and triaging of Neurology calls.

Manages NICE phone system and triages patient and division concerns including implementing workflow changes as needed.

Manage transition from paper scheduling preferences to Kyruus as source of truth for Uconnect agents when scheduling.

Manages Kyruus updates ensuring all provider profiles are updated to reflect scheduling preferences (includes review of key terms, claiming providers timely, etc.)

Create an After Care Model for the department including developing staffing ratios for the department.

Manage all clinical space assignments in DSMC and Lennar and update space matrix as needed.

Responsible for upkeep of department’s divisional view and provider deployment templates. Manage other clinical operations projects as assigned by SAO.

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
