We’re rapidly expanding and we need great people to join our team.The Associate Director, Supply Chain will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's supply chain and logistics strategy and operations to maximize process efficiencies and productivity and ensure the company remains compliant, efficient and profitable. This role will be uniquely challenged with the direct participation in managing Strategic Sourcing and maintaining a robust logistics and inventory management plan and system to meet the goals of the company’s aggressive strategic plan. In addition, s/he will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors. The incumbent will be directly responsible for managing the tactical, day-to-day performance of Supply Chain from procurement to fulfillment and to develop and advise on unique solutions for complex problems. This position will support key Supply Chain initiatives, building relationships, managing projects from concept to completion, and demonstrating exceptional communication skills.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops a standard to ensure all sourcing initiatives follow a seamless process from project intake to award and ongoing supplier management.

Directs Strategic Sourcing initiatives to create and utilize multi-step sourcing processes that drive Best Value relationships with vendors, educating sourcing processes to direct reports and ensure continuous Improvement in the supply chain.

Drives cost savings through sourcing initiatives and vendor negotiations.

Works closely with our contracted vendors and other suppliers, fosters relationship and holds them accountable as needed.

Works with procurement to ensure shipment of the final product. This includes identifying and ordering the proper quantity, negotiating pricing and shipment terms, and overseeing the timely delivery of product needed to fulfill medical center orders.

Collaborates with COEs on formulary creation and adherence through technology and process controls.

Proactively identifies and leads process improvement initiatives.

Participates in initiatives to ensure compliance with safety/quality standards and policy/procedures and maintain a positive work environment.

Develops supplier scorecards and KPIs for the department. Develops a vigilant evaluation system to ensure partner compliance on quality, price, delivery, and service. Schedules routine compliance reviews to agreed-upon terms and conditions.

Manages inventory levels for new center openings and all product lines to ensure in-stock and inventory levels are in line with targets/KPIs.

Ensures lead times are aligned to enable an optimal flow of inventory to maintain distribution centers stock and to the medical centers.

Oversees inventory management which includes accessing inventory movement while evaluating the logistics cost vs. meeting demand to assure no stock-outs.

Works cross-functionally with the accounting and finance team to reconcile invoice discrepancies.

Builds on the existing resource planning and inventory management platform to ensure the appropriate controls are in place.

Assists Strategic Sourcing as needed on contracts, RFI/RFP, proposals and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications.

Liaises between Procurement and Strategic Sourcing to ensure effective communication

Manages ad-hoc projects assigned by Managing Director.

Performs other duties as assigned or modified at manager’s discretion

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Prior experience leading sourcing events (RFP, RFI, Reverse Auctions)

Experience negotiating contracts across various categories, including Facilities, Information Technology, Clinical, Sales & Marketing

Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and to operate across functional lines

Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, communication and organizational skills

Ability to lead projects and collaborate with functional leads throughout the organization

Ability to use good judgment, understand complex business situations, work with ambiguity, be a creative thinker, be a self-starter, and have attention to detail

Ability to use discretion under a variety of circumstances and when handling confidential information

Effective at managing multiple projects/priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and developing priorities for self and team members to meet tight deadlines

Expert level of proficiency with Procurement/Sourcing software, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint); proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook

Strong financial modeling and presentation skills

Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally and nationwide up to 10% of the time

Spoken and written fluency in English

This job requires use and exercise of independent judgment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations; experience above the minimum required may substitute or education on a year-for-year basis

Six (6) years of a combination of supply chain management, logistics, operations, or warehouse management experience, with three (3) years in a leadership role

Experience with Lean/Six Sigma Certification a plus
