Bookkeeper

Description We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper for a role based in Miami, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for handling key accounting tasks, such as accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliation. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity within the finance industry.Responsibilities: Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions Perform bank reconciliations on a regular basis Use Microsoft Excel for maintaining and organizing financial data Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures Prepare financial management reports as required Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses Evaluate and improve processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness of accounting practices.If you are qualified please call 786.801.5830 or email your resume to [email protected] Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is mandatory Expertise in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required Experience with Bank Reconciliations is essential Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is needed A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Bookkeeper role is required Must possess excellent communication skills Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred Knowledge of general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close process is desired Familiarity with financial regulations, i.e., Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is a plus Proficiency in using accounting software and databases is beneficial.
