Description We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in managing cash receipts, overseeing the cash flow schedule, conducting bank reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in accounting and finance to contribute to the financial health and accountability of our agency.Responsibilities:

Manage cash receipts and maintain accurate records of all incoming funds.

Monitor and maintain the schedule of cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs.

Perform bank reconciliations regularly to reconcile discrepancies and ensure accuracy.

Collaborate with the Director of Finance and other team members to prepare financial reports and forecasts.

Assist with the preparation of budgetary documents and financial statements.

Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.

Utilize strong Excel skills to analyze financial data and prepare reports as needed.

Provide support during audits and assist in implementing audit recommendations.

Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Proven experience in accounting or financial management roles.

Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulas.

Previous experience with New World accounting system is a plus.

Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality.
